Our friends a Pley, the gamechanging kids’ toy subscription box, have partnered with Disney Princess to bring kids a new way to discover and imagine with their favorite characters. The Limited Edition Disney Princess Pleybox is a bi-monthly subscription box for kids that sends 4-8 officially licensed items, including a booklet with stories and games, and a box that can be turned into part of the fun!
The Rapunzel Special Edition Disney Princess Pleybox is shipping now and features so many exciting ways to play! My 8 year-old daughter receives this box and she is quite the little artist, so she was especially excited to receive a Tangled-themed box.
As you can see, the August 2017 Disney Princess Pleybox included:
- Tangled the Series Figurine Playset (Disney Store, $14.95)
- Rapunzel Light-Up Wand (Disney Store, $14.95)
- Tangled the Series Paint Set (Disney Store, $12.95)
- Booklet that includes a story, games, and ideas for play
- Plus a build-your-own Tangled tower cardboard set
As you can see with this month’s box, the value was over $43! Subscriptions start at $24.99 a month plus shipping, with discounts for longer term commitments. For instance, subscribe for three boxes and receive them at $22.99 each plus shipping. That’s less than $12 a month for a year!
The Tangled the Series figurine playset has all the fun characters from the new show and they’re the perfect size to play with the DIY tower. I really appreciate that these Disney Princess Pley boxes have high-quality, officially licensed products, so we’re not received old items or items that have questionable origins. Most of the items I’ve ever seen in Disney Princess Playbox are Disney Store official products!
One of the things I really love about this subscription box is that there aren’t any limitations. Kids can play with the toys in countless ways over and over again, and the more boxes they receive the bigger they play options become. For instance, this beautiful canvas art portfolio had “paintbrush-style” markers that my daughter used to also paint the tower with!
And the fact that you can use the included cardboard to turn into another toy? This is Abby’s favorite part of the box! The instructions are included in the booklet and it doesn’t take any special tools or even scissors. The cardboard is perforated in the places that need to be separated. Abby was not able to do it herself, so I helped and it took about 15 minutes to complete.
Since she last received the June box (Ariel), not a week went by where she didn’t ask multiple times when her next Pleybox would come. We loved playing the guessing and wishing game on what princess it would be! Needless to say, everyone was excited to discover it was Rapunzel, who is my personal favorite and definitely one of Abby’s top favorites.
I love that there was so much to do and that the fun is comprehensive, there are many ways to play from role playing with the figurines to dress up to arts and crafts, plus reading and games in the accompanying booklet. Now that we’ve collected Prince Eric’s ship from the last box and Rapunzel’s tower this month, we’re really amassing a little Disney princess world that will be a lot of fun to interconnect the way we play with the characters!
Now that they’ve delivered Belle, Ariel, and Rapubzel, we can’t wait to discover the next Limited Edition Disney Princess Pleybox! It’s brought out the princess fan in all of us. I’m wondering if we’ll be seeing a Frozen box this winter?
