Holiday LEDS | Review

I’ve spent the last few weeks getting our backyard summer-ready, from getting out the little kiddie pool, to planting and re-planting our garden, and finally, putting up string lights so we could enjoy our time in the backyard just a little bit more. We found a great set of warm white LED lights from HolidayLEDS and they are a perfect addition to our summer nights.

One of the things I noticed right off the bat with our HolidayLEDS is that they are environmentally friendly in a few ways: their packaging is minimal – you could almost say it’s zero waste since it comes in a paper sleeve made of recycled material that you can, in turn, recycle. The other important thing to note about the Holiday LEDS lights is that they’re energy efficient. Because they are LED bulbs, they use 85% less energy than standard string lights. Also, they last longer than traditional Christmas lights. When one bulb burns out, the rest stay lit, and that means that you don’t have to throw out a set of lights (yet another way of being environmentally friendly!), so they are more than worth the price tags of $23.99. If you’re ready to make the switch from those traditional lights, don’t just throw them out! HolidayLEDS offers a incandescent Christmas lights recycling program!

The lights looked so nice as a backdrop on our patio. A couple weeks ago we celebrated my birthday by roasting s’mores and it was a nice little extra to have the lights on. My girls really liked it – they thought it felt a lot more like a party. There are a lot of ways you can use LED lights such as this, and Pinterest is full of them, from weddings right down to bedroom decor. Be sure to follow HolidayLEDS on Facebook and Twitter so you can stay up-to-date on news, new products, and promotions (for instance, right now you can get 15% off on all wedding lights!).
