My oldest daughter has anxiously been awaiting this month’s Kiwi Crate since we finally had a chance to sit and do her craft projects from last month’s box. It finally arrived and she is, of course, super-excited for another round of fun activities. This month’s theme is Medieval Fun and has all the stuff we need to make a mini catapult and medieval dress-up with a princess hat and knight’s mask and a banner.
One of the things that stuck out to me in this month’s Kiwi Crate was a packet of Kool-Aid and when I read the instructions I saw that kids get to dye fabric with it – I think that’s a great experience to have as part of this kit! There are two cut out packets to make a royal hat and to make a knight’s mask. But they’re double-sided, so you can make two of each if you happen to have princesses or two knights ;)
As always, Kiwi Crate included step-by-step instructions for each activity and those instructions include pictures, which is helpful for the younger kids who are still learning to read. Also, this month’s activities require medium to high parental involvement (we’re dealing with Kool-Aid in one, so you can imagine!), but it seems like the activities will be a lot of fun and I’m actually excited to help Emma do them.
You can find out more about Kiwi Crate here, see past box offerings, and find other ways to connect with them on the web. If you want to join Kiwi Crate, you can sign up here and get $10 off your first month’s box (no promo code needed, just use the referral link), making your first box only $10 and delivered right to your door (in fact, it comes addressed to your child)! Do you subscribe to Kiwi Crate already? I’l love to know what you have thought about your subscription so far!
P.S. Here’s a little follow-up to one of our projects from last month’s box. We planted the seeds last weekend and they’ve already started growing like crazy!
