Long gone are the days of slideshows from a carousel projector. Gone are the days of even showing off photos from your phone or tablet! Amazon customers can view and search for their photos and photo albums using the Alexa Voice Remote and the Prime Photos app on their Amazon Fire TV. Prime members in the U.S. can also search for people, places, and things, with phrases like, “show photos of dogs,” “show photos of Wyoming,” or “show photos of Jane.”
I can think of a dozen different ways this would be so handy! For those planning bridal showers or graduation parties, simply create photo albums in Prime Photos and just ask Alexa to play a slideshow of the albums on the Amazon Fire TV during the party. It would be an easy and convenient way to add a special and personalized touch to the celebration. If you have multiple albums to showcase, or are looking for something specific, it’s as easy as using your Alexa Voice Remote and saying something as ambiguous as, “Show my photos from last summer!”
With a Prime membership, Prime Photos members have access to unlimited photo storage with Prime Photos and 5 GB digital storage for videos and files. You can search for people, places, and things, and it keeps your photos safe while saving you space on your devices. This is a huge help for our family, since we take a lot of photos and videos and we’ve found they really take up storage space! Check out more ways to use the Prime Photos Fire TV app (hint: you can even change your screensaver)!
