One of the things I did with Emma when she was younger was a mommy and me gym class. We had so much fun – and it was one of the things she most looked forward to in the week. Now, as Abby begins to be more interactive and starts getting ready to be more physically involved, I’ve found a great program we can do at home together: Tot Yoga!
It was created by a mom (aren’t those always the best products!?) who needed a solution for the lack of options available. There were plenty of baby and mom yoga videos or there were plenty of yoga videos for older kids, but none quite right for ages 10 months to three years, where extra attention and interaction is needed.
In a couple months, Abby and I will be able to do this together, but I had Emma try it out now, and while she’s older than the target age, she still had fun doing it. I liked that the instructor in the video told the parents that it’s okay for their toddlers attention to be all over the place during a yoga session, and I also liked the section of the video where the parents follow the toddler’s lead. It was a nice role-reversal from always being the leader!
If you’re looking for a solution for an in-home activity for you and your toddler (it’s a great way to save money by doing this together at home versus at a gym), then I encourage you to check Tot Yoga out. And it’s perfect for families with little or no yoga experience because it’s low-key and easy to follow. Tot Yoga is sold at several stores in the north east, but can also be found at Amazon!

Thanks, I'll be checking this out for Tifani and I to do. I've noticed that she loves to stretch and follow along on sprout, so I think she'd love this!
That sounds wonderful!
